Seperation of Trust & Operating Accounts
The legal industry is required in 46 states, plus Puerto Rico, to use both operating and trust(IOLTA) accounts to properly separate and manage funds. All accounts provided by LexActum include this feature and fees are never, other than rare exceptions, deducted from the trust account in order to comply with state laws. Law firms designate where each payment should be deposited, and the funds are deposited the next business day.
PCI Compliance Assistance
Payments processed through LexActum are processed through our secure, cloud-based servers. If your firm needs to save any payment information, it is also stored off-site on our servers. We do this to ensure the security of payment data and reduce the risk to our clients. In addition, we also offer complimentary PCI compliance assistance to ensure that our clients know how to operate to ensure their clients’ payment information is always secure.

When a chargeback request is received from a card issuer, our team proactively reaches out through mail or fax letting you know what is needed to contest the chargeback and how to submit the required documents. Once the requested documents have been submitted, our team of chargeback specialists handles the chargeback directly with the card isssuer on your behalf.
